Source snapshot

Public data sources behind LifeRiskIQ scores.

LifeRiskIQ scores are built from public, population-level datasets. This page summarizes the active source years, geography basis, cadence, and coverage represented in the current metric table.

Source years can differ by risk factor because public agencies release datasets on different schedules. LifeRiskIQ favors stable, validated inputs over silently swapping to a newer release.

Update policy

How source freshness is handled.

LifeRiskIQ updates source layers when newer public releases are available, compatible with the existing scoring logic, and validated against source-specific smoke checks.

ACS stays pinned to 2024

Financial and commute inputs use the 2020-2024 ACS 5-year release until the next ACS 5-year API release is validated.

PM2.5 stays pinned to 2022

The active CDC county PM2.5 dataset explicitly covers modeled values through 2022.

CHR 2026 is supplemental

County Health Rankings did not publish a typical 2026 annual release, so LifeRiskIQ treats 2026 CHR updates as supplemental context.

FARS 2024 needs validation

The mobility layer keeps stable 2023 FARS inputs until 2024 endpoint shape and fields are smoke-tested.

Interpretation guardrails

Scores are relative by geography tier and should not be used as individual predictions.
Metric geography may be county, place, state, or mixed depending on the best available public source.
